REGIVE

by Katy Gennaro

Over the past decade, I've been developing a graphic illustration style that begins the way all honest work does — with graphite on paper. From there, I draw in Procreate and fine-tune in Adobe Illustrator, refining until only what matters remains. Sleek, elegant lines. Minimalist by intention. The goal is always to carry the message clearly, without decoration getting in the way.

This collection is rooted in the mosaics and stained glass windows I've spent years admiring in churches along the East Coast — the way light moves through tile and glass, devotion made visible, piece by piece.

In my own work, I return to that same feeling of devotion — window-like arches, bold flowing lines, fragments of color and shape brought together into something whole. Making art is how I stay open. It keeps me present, grounded, and tapped into the quiet emotional undercurrents of the world around me — which is exactly what I bring to every client I work with.

When I create freely, I listen more deeply. That's the gift art gives back.

Let's build something that matters.

Katy is absolutely the most MARVELOUS human and designer!! Her brilliant and compassionate and patient and creative heart and self and talent are all part of every moment she has dedicated to birthing Receptive Giving. She has helped me both create and manifest my concept for a website / blog along with designing a logo.

If there were more stars I would give them! Working with Katy has been vital for me in starting a new business. She is extremely talented and was able to take an overall concept of what I was looking for and bring it to life through a hand drawn logo, font curation and overall marketing concept. She is extremely professional and always responds promptly. I am planning to work with her more in the future for designing my website and on any other marketing venture! SHE’S THE BEST!

The Artist & Designer

Katy is a Warwick, New York-based graphic artist, illustrator, and yoga teacher whose work explores themes of healing, spirituality, and the quiet wisdom found through introspection. Her creative practice blends traditional drawing with digital illustration — incorporating fluid linework, geometric structures, and architectural motifs inspired by mosaic windows and church archways.

As an art major at Monroe-Woodbury High School and a member of the National Art Honor Society, she developed a strong foundation that led to her acceptance into Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. While in college, she discovered yoga and meditation, which opened a deeper exploration into mental health, mindfulness, and philosophy.

Katy has exhibited her artwork locally, including presentations at the Nyack Art Walk and Playa Gallery on Railroad Avenue in Warwick. She has since continued developing a visual language characterized by whimsical yet intentional compositions — balancing organic linework with geometric structure.

The Teacher & Studio

Following a pivotal period of personal growth, Katy completed her first 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and founded Receptive Giving LLC — a creative and wellness-centered platform that became the home for her work in art, yoga, and design. Over the past decade, she has taught yoga, managed studios, and led classes, workshops, and figure drawing gatherings designed to merge mindfulness with creative expression.

She is currently completing her 300-hour teacher training with respected teachers including Abbie Galvin, Elena Brower, and Sarah Powers. Today, she teaches weekly and hosts monthly in-person workshops at Saltara Healing in Warwick, NY — a beautiful spa and yoga studio where she continues to build something meaningful with her community.

Yoga remains a central influence in everything she creates. Her illustrations often carry themes of emotional growth, spiritual reflection, and personal transformation — visual meditations that encourage viewers to pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves.
